SHELD reads meters each month, and bills are usually issued within a few days of reading. The timing depends on your location, with readings typically scheduled for the 1st or the 8th of the month.
Residential customers will get a 10% discount on the service portion of the bill if it is paid in full within 14 days of the billing date. Senior citizens qualify for the 10% discount if the bill is paid within 45 days. A discount due date is printed on each bill.
