Save Energy at Home

SHELD wants to help our customers save energy at home. This not only holds down electric bills, but helps our environment, too.

The Home Energy Loss Prevention Service can answer all your energy questions and also perform a free home energy audit. Visit them at www.munihelps.org, call toll-free 1-888-333-7525 or 1-888-335-7203, or e-mail questions to energyquestions@mmwec.org.

SHELD offers rebates of $25 to $50 to our residential customers who buy certain Energy Star-rated appliances — including room air conditioners, dishwashers, refrigerators and clothes washers. A rebate application form with complete program requirements is available at the SHELD office and at www.munihelps.org.

A catalog of energy-efficient lighting choices available to SHELD customers is available at Energy Star Light.
